ON THE ROAD TO GHOST RANCH

We passed Abiquiu Lake on our way to Ghost Ranch - we stopped here for lunch.

The high plateau (Cerro Pedernal) in background was one of Okeeffe's favorite subjects to paint.

Her ashes were scarried on top of the plateau and the prevailing winds carried them toward Ghost Ranch.

Part of our Lunch.

Saw this by the lake side - I called it "Hooking a rockfish".

Next time more from Ghost Ranch.

  1. I have decided I don't really want to live in the middle of nowhere after all. I want to live in the middle of somewhere that has a view of the middle of nowwhere. Now to find the biggest city in NM where the sky and the rocks still know how to speak.

  2. Santa Fe is very nice city but a real touristas spot. Albuquerque is a very large city with a very good university but I am not sure of how great the views are, New Mexico is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Also Roswell is larger then I would have guessed and is really out there.
