COOL WALKWAYS IN OLE SANTA FE - One of many inviting walkways we saw in Santa Fe.
This lantern is hanging on the right side of the walkway above.

A cool and inviting walkway.
A closer look inside the walkway above.

Maybe someone's home or the entrance to a restaurant - but just loved the tile wall seen through the doorway.
A close look at the tile.

Another quiet walkway.

Really liked the green arch over this walkway.

More images of Santa Fe, NM.
Native American Art Museum, Santa Fe, NM.

Native American Art Museum, Santa Fe, NM.

Saw this statue in a small courtyard of a shop that sold native american art. I also saw a similar statue of this at the Smithsonian Native American Muesum, Washington DC.
Smithsonian Native American Muesum, Washington DC.

This Statue was located at the Cathedral Basilica of St Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe, NM.

We visited the Georgia O'keeffe Muesum but could not tour anything except the gift shop because they were setting up for the exibition shown here.

More images of Santa Fe that caught my eye.
I really liked the gold vase - top row, third from left.

Loved the rustic antique southwest look.

A little stark but loved the color combos.

Peppers here, peppers there, every where you looked there were more dried peppers hanging.

Cranberrys, cranberrys, does anyone have cranberrys?

Some things I liked that I found in Santa Fe.
Not sure what this is but I liked it.

What is that term "Let sleeping dogs lie" how about letting sleeping bears lie.

Found this guy climbing up the wall.

Kokopelli a fertility deity is playing his flute for the Sun, maybe for rain.

Just liked the sun bleached colors of the wood.

Painted buffalo skull with a painted scene from the hunt. An early form of Native American photography.

Here are a few of my favorite images from our visit to Taos Pueblo.
Welcome sign at the enterance to the Pueblo (http://www.taospueblo.com/) and (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taos_Pueblo).

Walking into the Pueblo.

This is the largest structure in the Pueblo.

The Pueblo is constantly in repair mode.

The active spiritual center for the Pueblo community. We were not allowed to photograph inside the church.

Loved all the blue doors.

A beautifully cloudy day - Toas mountains in the background.

Ditto.

My favorite subject - this skull was hanging on the outside of one of the Pueblo homes.

Coummunity homes with an outdoor adobe oven in the forground.

My favorite shot of the day - me and two local dogs - shot taken by Sharon.
